Exactly 4 years ago in August 2020 Little IBEX moved onto the sailboat and started her journey around the world. Well, actually the initial plan was to first cross the Atlantic and then evaluate if she wants to go on. But first she had to learn how to sail and anchor a boat. And of course how to maintain and repair things.
She enjoyed life on the boat tremendously. Sunsets, beaches and of course many hills and mountains to climb in warm regions.
She explored different cultures (e.g. see below Pacific impressions) and regions around the world. So many things she has experienced before and after going through the Panama canal.
She also found new friends on the way. Some even joined her on the boat and Little Ibex offered them to come with her to Germany.
In total, she travelled 29.020 nautical miles around the world, crossed 3 large oceans and visited 30 countries. She spend 145 nights on passage at sea and 416 days at anchor.
Little IBEX wants to thank all of you for reading the blog and accompanying her around the world. It was an amazing journey.
Now she is back in Germany and shows her new friends around.

Vicki, I recall meeting you & your family in Klagenfurt — when you were maybe 16. I/we were really delighted to learn that you were well, happy and beginning a new life adventure. And, indirectly meeting Florian was especially nice.
In any event, I cannot thank you and Florian and Ibex enough for sharing your adventure. We could not believe that you were actually circumnavigating the world. It was such fun to be traveling along with you! (And, I should tell you that one of my brothers who lived in Florida – and died unexpectedly last year – totally enjoyed your adventure also. )
Do let us know when you write your book about Ibex’s adventure! I am guessing that you have lots of stories that folks would find interesting and entertaining! We hope that you and Florian will have new, extraordinary life experiences, and thank you again for sharing yourselves and Ibex with us.

Dear little Ibex, your stories and pictures were great and I felt sometimes as being there myself. The adventures through Covid and the seas in your blog were as entertaining as was the information on the Islands/countries and people visited. I am sure you may have found the one or other place to enjoy a different life than the one at home. Thank you for the great experience and that you took the effort to share it with us! Was für ein tolles Abenteuer. Über viele Wochen haben wir auf den nächsten Artikel hingefiebert und waren überrascht, was man alles erleben kann. Vielen Dank für das Teilen und Euch jetzt ein gutes Einleben wieder zu Hause.

Es war immer sehr spannend, per Blog an deinen Reisen teilhaben zu können. Und es war uns eine besondere Freude, zumindest einen ganz keinen Teil der Reise mit dir gemeinsam unternehmen zu dürfen!
